Opportunity:

Superior Cabinets is currently seeking a Design Assistant to join our team in Edmonton. In this role, you will be working as part of a team alongside members of our Design, Operations, Manufacturing and Installation departments to create one-of-a-kind kitchen designs. You will be responsible for the following duties, all while learning from the best in our industry:

•      Assist in creating space plans and developing conceptual designs and drawings

•      Assist in the design and pricing of cabinetry, countertops, installation and accessories as per company guidelines

•      Assist Builder Team with drawings and/or client meetings as needed

•      Conduct site measurements

•      Accompany Senior Design Consultants when meeting with customers off-site

•      Attend sales meetings

•      Provide reception coverage as required


Qualifications:

In order to be successful, you will need:

•      At least one year of experience in kitchen design and in the use of 2020 Kitchen Design software

•      An entrepreneurial spirit, passion for design, and a drive to succeed

•      Ability to multitask and handle multiple accounts and projects at once

•      Strong communication skills to enhance our customers’ experience

•      Working knowledge of building codes and compliance issues

•      A degree or diploma from an accredited interior design or architecture program will be considered an asset
